A child’s heart is as pure as driven snow. Their fantasies and imagination takes them a ride over the world of fairy tales. Just like a part of most of our stories, poems and lullabies. Far in the sky, was a vagary orris-silver ring hanging lonely, as bright as diamond flame, gleaming beautifully in the dark which turned the sea with a glow like melted platinum. One day, a seven year old lonely little boy called tubelight whose daily routine was to turn dirty taxis into sparkling ones in the streets of Kolkata, falls in love with the moon. He tries to catch it, he jumps to the highest he can. He realizes it as impossible. But, nothing could stop the determination of this guy.
How this unrequited love changed his life? This short film directed by Shlok Sharma is a abating tale about the little boy’s small world filled with loneliness and sadness on the streets of Kolkata. The writer has also described boys dream in a poetic way. And the combination of both the worlds is blend and reflected aesthetically and technically.
